Abstract Economic vitality (EV) is a key indicator to measure a city’s capacity and potential for economic development, and a critical component of sustainable competitiveness of cities. The indicator comprises the following sub-indicators: ease of doing business, IPR protection, proportion of young workforce, GDP growth rate, and labor productivity.
