Abstract:
Abstract This chapter examines the medical tourism experience in Thailand, which is one of the most attractive medical tourism destinations in the world. The main emphasis is on the position of indigenous firms in the GVC (Global Production Value Chains) and identifying the challenges/obstacles they face in moving up the chain. It also explores the potential for regional cooperation in medical tourism activities through FTAs (Free Trade Agreements).
