Abstract: Abstract Cryptocurrency has the potential to transform online transactions. In the Philippines, cryptocurrency has gained traction in the e-commerce sector, with an increasing number of interested merchants and consumers owning some cryptocurrency and using it as an investment. Despite its growing popularity, the adoption of cryptocurrency in the Philippines has faced obstacles, and further research is needed to understand the factors that impact its adoption and use in the e-commerce industry. This research aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of cryptocurrency adoption in the Philippine e-commerce industry, and to examine the business and economic impact of this adoption. Through a review of the relevant literature, this study will explore the factors that influence the adoption and use of cryptocurrency in the Philippine e-commerce industry, including its perceived benefits, risks, and challenges. This study will also consider the opportunities and challenges presented by cryptocurrency adoption in the Philippines and offer recommendations for future research.
