Chapter Chapter 5 in The Psychology Behind Design, 2024, pp 65-78 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract You may misconstrue me as a philistine for questioning such a matter of course. Do not jump the gun, though. The trick of this inquiry isn't the question as a whole. The little word “absolutely” is the mischief-maker here. No doubt, we all nod in agreement at the notion of art enriching our lives. But do we “absolutely” need it? If that's the case, do you have a compelling reasoning ready at hand?
