Abstract: Abstract While the effect of entrepreneurial knowledge on entrepreneurial intention has received plenty of attention, a microscopic study has been made on how this element affects the entrepreneurial intention of Vietnamese students. Therefore, this study was conducted to provide a better understanding of the impact of entrepreneurial knowledge, including knowledge from university and participation in the family business on entrepreneurial intention and the mediating role of entrepreneurial passion from the perspective of SOR theory. Questionnaires were sent to 605 university students in Vietnam and Vietnamese students at universities worldwide. The data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS 4 software. The investigation results show that an individual's entrepreneurial passion was greatly influenced by their entrepreneurial knowledge. Besides, entrepreneurial passion also has a favorable effect on entrepreneurial intention. Consequently, this study proposes that students’ universities and families should pay attention to providing entrepreneurial knowledge and environment to optimize Vietnamese students’ entrepreneurial passion, thereby motivating them to become entrepreneurs.
