Abstract:
Abstract The EU-China Comprehensive Agreement on Investment (EU-China CAI, or the Agreement) is a comprehensive, balanced, high-level, mutually beneficial, and win-win agreement that is aligning with high-standard international economic and trade rules and focuses on opening up based on rules and related institutions. The areas covered by the agreement go far beyond traditional bilateral investment agreements (BITs), and the achievements of the negotiations cover market access commitments, fair competition rules, sustainable development, and dispute settlement.
