Chapter Chapter 3 in Technological Revolution and New Driving Forces for Global Sustainable Development, 2024, pp 19-28 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Three ideas have been proposed in the international academic discussion of new technological revolution, namely, biotechnology-led change, information technology-led change, and the convergence of information technology and biotechnology. From the typical facts of the new technological revolution, we observe that information technology imperialism is still expanding, biotechnology is expanding slowly and gradually, and the new technological revolution is characterized by polarization, clustering, and convergence. In this regard, we propose the “Dual Swan Leading” model, that is, information technology and biotechnology are like two Swans leading the technological revolution and forming two high-tech clusters, promoting industrial innovation and sustainable development of the global economy through cross-fertilization.
