Chapter Chapter 1 in Multi-Regional Input–Output Analysis of the Japanese Economy, 2024, pp 1-9 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Chapter 1 shows the aim and outline of the book. This book focuses on the regional IOT and its application, especially on the interdependency among regions through MRIOTs in Japan. We discuss issues on the regional interdependency, economic distance, regional revitalization under declining population, and measuring the economic contribution of specific firms on regions. This book consists of two parts. Part one, six chapters beginning with Chapter 2, focuses on the construction of the MRIOTs in Japan. Part two, five chapters from Chapter 8, discusses on the application of the MRIOTs. Final Chapter 13 summarizes the conclusions of each chapter.
