Chapter Chapter 6 in Multi-Regional Input–Output Analysis of the Japanese Economy, 2024, pp 123-150 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Chapter 6 discusses the construction of a multi-regional IOT within a prefecture. Compiling IOTs for smaller areas within a prefecture has garnered growing interest. Many studies have examined interregional IOTs within prefectures. In this chapter, we estimate an interregional IOT for 54 municipalities based on the 2011 Aichi IOT, in which the 188-sector table is integrated into a 106-sector table. We present an outline of the 2011 inter-municipal IOT of Aichi Prefecture, compare the characteristics of municipalities from the estimated IOT, and examine the interdependency among municipalities by the value-added induced by the given final demands.
