Chapter Chapter 1 in An Economic Theory of Gender and Population Change, 2024, pp 1-11 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The chapter explains the main purpose and structure of the book. I try to integrate various approaches in economic theory into a single analytical framework. The construction process started in the early 1990s. In The General Economic Theory, I integrated economic theories into a comprehensive framework. This book is focused on gender and population dynamics. A key difference between the gender-related models influenced by neoclassical growth theory and new growth theory and my approach is that I take capital and knowledge into a single consistent framework. The book explains these differences in detail. This book is also a part of my broad approach to revealing economic complexity.
