Chapter Chapter 4 in Handbook of Chinese Economics, 2023, pp 93-117 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract China’s basic economic system is one where public ownership plays a dominant role while a variety of ownership economies co-develop. This position is the foundation of the Chinese socialist market economy. It highlights the importance of the basic theory of the socialist economic system with Chinese characteristics. With the deepening of reform and opening up, people’s understanding of China’s basic national conditions has gradually conformed to the objective reality.
