The Theory of Industrial Structure and Industrial Organization

Chapter Chapter 8 in Handbook of Chinese Economics, 2023, pp 213-254 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Since the late 1970s, studies on industrial structure have changed dramatically in both methods and subjects. During the lengthy period from the founding of the People’s Republic of China to the eve of reform and opening up, there was barely any reference to the term “industrial structure” in the Chinese economics literature. The contents that are roughly comparable to those studied under contemporary industrial structure were referred to as either reproduction or economic structure.
