Chapter Chapter 8 in Introducing Board Gender Diversity to Sri Lanka, 2023, pp 235-242 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract It is an interesting time of regulatory development in Sri Lanka, as policymakers continue to introduce legal rules in order to meet conditions imposed by the IFIs. Accordingly, introducing legal rules to improve corporate governance practices continues to be of paramount importance for Sri Lankan legislators. Against this background, using a socio-legal framework, this study empirically investigated the potential introduction of board gender diversity rules in Sri Lanka. This final chapter provides a summary of the study by revisiting the key findings and concludes by providing a snapshot of possible future research that could arise as a result of this study.
