Abstract: Abstract Vietnam green growth strategy (VGGS) is an important policy toward circular economy. The joint statement of ASEAN leaders held in Hanoi in April 2010 on sustainable recovery and development has encouraged green growth, including long-term investment in sustainable development and sustainable use of resources to diversify and ensure the adaptability of the economy. The strategy has been one of the top priorities since officially promulgated through decision (Decision No., 1393/QD-TTg Dated Sept 25, 2012, on the Approval of the national green growth strategy of Vietnam, 2012). The strategy concentrates on four important fields, including reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, green production, green lifestyle and sustainable consumption, and green transformation process. This chapter aims to analyze the institutional developments, implementation as well as limitations of the VGSS.
