Abstract: Abstract Most of the extant empirical evidence on governance mechanisms examines developed markets. This study undertakes an exhaustive review of corporate governance in Vietnam, which is characterised by peculiar agency problems and builds upon the available empirical evidence to provide an insightful analysis of the internal governance mechanisms for Vietnam's listed firms.
