Chapter Chapter 3 in Microfinance and China's Regional Development, 2023, pp 81-112 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Over the past two decades and more, Luqiao district has been building platforms, conducting close exchanges and win-win cooperation to support and promote local financial institutions in improving financing services, diversifying financing products, and strengthening the financing system for micro and small businesses. As a result, regional financial institutions and enterprises cooperate closely with each other, making Luqiao a national model for providing financial services to micro and small businesses. The private economy thrives in the district with numerous SMEs. They might be financially trapped in the pursuit of development. However, with the joint efforts of the district government, banks, and enterprises, the financing difficulties of SMEs in Luqiao have been effectively alleviated, and small and microfinance maintains a good momentum of growth.
