Abstract:
Abstract Public acknowledgement and accepting towards the MLM business in Malaysia are still low, in addition to the negative perception that it is a type of money scamming and laundering business rather than an income-generating and job-creating opportunity. Moreover, there are insufficient studies on Indian entrepreneurs in Malaysia as well as theoretical and empirical research on entrepreneurial leadership (EL) as the key factor that promotes entrepreneurial growth and development. This study aims to address these gaps by conducting a qualitative investigation on EL among Indian entrepreneurs in K-Link International Sdn. Bhd. with the aim of (1) describing the concept of EL in MLM from the successful Indian entrepreneurs’ perspective, (2) explaining the success factors of Indian entrepreneurs, and (3) examining the role of EL in creating successful Indian entrepreneurs in K-Link International Sdn. Bhd. The data were collected using semi-structured interviews and document review and it was analysed using thematic and content analysis. The findings showed that both management system and organisational factors highly influence EL in K-Link International Sdn. Bhd.
