Abstract:
Abstract Women are often considered inferior in leadership. However, the number of women leaders increased in the past two years and occupied top level positions in organizations. This demonstrates that women have capabilities as men, and it indicates that they are effective leaders. Effective leaders are intertwined with their personalities, context and situations that shape their leadership style. Therefore, we are interested to explore which leadership style is suitable for women’s leadership in crisis in response to future challenges. Review of literature was conducted to address the research question. Nvivo12 is adopted to assist the analysis process. As a result, it is found that transformational leadership style is suitable for women’s leadership in crisis since this leadership style is future-oriented, fast response, and provide direction to group members. Additionally, transformational leadership style accommodates the characteristics of women’s leadership style.
