Chapter Chapter 3 in Women in Aviation, 2023, pp 29-47 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The purpose of this book Chap. 2 is to find out the development of women's leadership in logistics and transportation. Women leaders are asked not only to be able to compete but also to obtain gender equality. Competitiveness as a female leader must provide quality, skills, confidence, understand strategy, be able to communicate, and have the same guts as men. The competition faced by women is not easy because of the social culture, work culture, and structure designed in which the number of female workers is less than that of men. There have been many contributions of women as leaders, not only in the field of logistics and transportation. International Women's Day 2022 builds an inclusive work culture, where women's careers develop and excel, including in the transportation and logistics industry. This role is carried out by women, starting from initiatives to encourage economic growth to environmental policies. Women are valuable players in the logistics and transportation industry such as Hannah Cain, Ellen Voie, and Katherina-Olivia Lacey. The next research trend is that women as leaders create a generation of quality and role models and help improve the economy and people's welfare.
