Abstract: Abstract Education plays an important role for self-development without any discrimination conferring to gender. Supply chain and logistics function propounded as male dominated employments has lodged challenges for woman to face in their career development. Therefore, in recognizing the barrier of gender discrimination and initiative for women advancement, WILAT Capacity Building Centre (WCBC) had developed an alternative education model. WCBC is spearheaded by Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) in Hong Kong. WiLAT is one of the fora in The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). It is a membership-based international organization originated from the UK. WiLAT promotes the status of women in logistics and transport, to bring together those who support talent and career development of women and to provide a support network and mentoring opportunities for women in the sector. This education model was designed accordingly by WCBC with reference to the WiLAT survey summary. Hence, the determinant factors on limitations and challenges were derived from these women in logistics perspective. The prerequisite for women to be prepared with this essential education is crucial for progression and sustainability.
