Chapter Chapter 7 in Managing Foreign Workers, 2023, pp 225-230 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The concept of employing foreign workers in Polish companies is becoming increasingly common. This is due to globalization, enterprises’ internationalization, or simply the availability of cheap labor. Even at the beginning of the twenty-first century, Poland was characterized by the phenomenon of emigration, which intensified in 2004–2005, when almost a million Poles left for European Union countries, which, upon Poland’s accession to the community, opened their labor markets, allowing employment without any formal permits.
