Chapter 3 in China’s Approach to Energy Security, 2023, pp 57-93 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract What impact does China’s institutional layout have on its approach to energy security? This is the central question this chapter aims to explore. It is argued that China’s structure of authority over the energy sector fits in with what Kenneth Lieberthal calls “fragmented authoritarianism.”
