Abstract: Abstract The preceding chapter has illustrated the motivations of China’s foreign quest for oil and gas from the perspectives of the Chinese government and the NOCs. In summary, China’s foreign energy quest has been the mixture of the government’s strategic concerns as well as the NOCs’ commercial motivations.
