Chapter Chapter 5 in The Korean Wave in a Post-Pandemic World, 2023, pp 411-479 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter describes discrete technical and organizational changes toward wider global markets in the Korean Wave between 2020 and 2023. Many technical changes happened to facilitate the already deeply export-led economy of Korea to continue to connect more digitally online with its entertainment buyers, since many of its previous consumers were now under many different national lockdowns. This is a fascinating story because so much happened so quickly between 2020 and 2023 in South Korea that will reverberate throughout the world for a decade or more.
