Abstract:
Abstract Conservation capital investments need to be effective in eliminating the industries’ harms to the environment. As construction industry’s environmental footprint is higher than most of the other industries, effective conservation capital investment on construction industry can be effective for conservation of nature. Construction industry’s environmental footprint needs to be reduced through effective conservation capital investments and policies so that global sustainable development can be achieved. This chapter aims to investigate conservation capital investments and policies in the global construction industry. It emphasises the importance of and need for effective conservation capital investments and policies in the construction industry. It further highlights main drivers for these investments and policies. Furthermore, effects of green macro economy and conservation capital on global construction industry are discussed. Recommendations for effective conservation capital and policies as well as for enhancing the effectiveness of conservation capital and policies in the global construction industry are provided.
