A chapter in Entrepreneurship Research, 2023, pp 103-109 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Singapore is a leading destination for innovation and entrepreneurship. Innovation is seen as a comprehensive system that interacts closely with the environment rather than a linear mechanical progression. This means that innovation does not happen by itself instead it is a result of meaningful interaction/collaboration of systems (at various levels in between different actors in the environment). However, in case of Singapore the role of the government in building the innovation capacity stands out as innovation in Singapore is policy driven. This chapter sheds light on the degree of governments involvement in Singapore in driving innovation and its implications.
