Chapter Chapter 10 in Professionalism and Commercialism in Australian Cricket, 2023, pp 213-248 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Since the end of the Second World War, the playing of cricket at the international level by Australian cricketers has undergone several significant changes. In particular, the playing of international contests has gone from being a semi-professional affair to a fully professionalProfessional one. As sums of money attracted to the sport rose, this level of professionalism spread to domestic first-class cricketers and then to women cricketers.
