A chapter in Blockchain in Real Estate, 2024, pp 35-52 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract We investigate the potential for the blockchain technology to bring transformative changes to the management of real estate assets. Although the adoption of this technology tends to provide unprecedented opportunities to the real estate sector, several challenges and limitations remain sizable and need to be addressed to unlock further development of the sector. In the present chapters, we examine these challenges. We identify their origins and discuss ways to address them for an effective implementation of blockchain that would enhance transaction speed, reduce further their cost and ensure data security. These advantages would contribute to a stronger real estate sector that is pillar to a stronger and more integrated economy.
