A chapter in Economic and Political Aspects of EU-Asian Relations, 2024, pp 411-423 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The European Union (EU) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have developed and maintained stability in various fields over the past years. The year 2022 holds significant meaning as it marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership between ASEAN and the EU. Effective collaboration with the EU in the fields of science and technology is a crucial factor enabling ASEAN to build upon its internationally acclaimed achievements while continuing to elevate its identity and central position within the international arena. Especially in the current changing global landscape, the EU and ASEAN need to adjust their policies concerning science and technology, proposing solutions to realize and strengthen their relationship in the future.
