A chapter in Economic and Political Aspects of EU-Asian Relations, 2024, pp 425-444 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The term “social media” was first used in 1994 in Tokyo, called Matisse (Bercovici, Forbes Disponível, 2010). Nowadays, both the number of platforms and the number of social media users have increased significantly, making it one of the most important applications of the Internet. The presence of both businesses and users on social media has led to a change in the way companies communicate and interact with their customers.
