Chapter Chapter 8 in Research on Innovation of Express Delivery Network Management, 2024, pp 189-219 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, the authors employ a three-stage DEA method to analyze the operational efficiency of the express delivery industry. Initially, the BCC model of DEA is used to measure the operational efficiency of the express delivery industry in 31 provinces of China in 2017 based on cross-sectional data, leading to the empirical result. Subsequently, the SFA model is used to eliminate the effect of environmental factors and random errors. Finally, the adjusted input variables are investigated, and the BCC model is employed again to calculate the operational efficiency, which is then evaluated.
