Chapter Chapter 2 in Carrying Capacity of China’s Resources, Environment, Population, and Economy, 2024, pp 103-150 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Based on the previous theoretical analysis of carrying capacity, this chapter starts from the study of the internal variables of factors that affect the carrying capacity of resources, environment, and economy, follows the problem-solving logic of “factors selection—model construction—empirical analysis”, and takes regional population carrying capacity as the research object and a moderate population capacity as the objective to carry out empirical calculation and analysis of the current population carrying capacity in various regions of China. And finally, it puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions.
