Chapter Chapter 3 in Financial Mathematics, Derivatives and Structured Products, 2024, pp 21-33 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract A fixed-income instrument, such as a debt security, generally provides income on a fixed schedule, although the income amount can vary. The money market instruments such as treasury bill, commercial paper (CP) and interbank deposit are the basic short-term fixed-income instruments. The basic long-term fixed-income instruments include bonds, notes, and asset-backed securities (ABS). In this section, we will present the main concepts related to fixed-income instruments.
