Conducting Assessment Interviews
George Watt
Chapter Chapter 6 in The Lean Entrepreneurship Playbook, 2024, pp 153-207 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Now that you have performed some initial research, structured and designed your interview, and prepared an interview guide, you should be ready to conduct assessment interviews. This chapter will help you to prepare for, and conduct, assessment interviews, and synthesize and communicate what you learn. It provides a step-by-step guide to conducting your own primary research via interviews. It shares information on how to structure them, how to schedule them, how to select participants, how many you will need, and how to know when you’ve done enough. It also provides tips for conducting effective interviews online, discusses the importance of trust and anonymity, and provides guidance regarding how to prepare the interview’s findings.
