The Global ESG Regulatory Paradigm
Kristyn Noeth
Chapter Chapter 7 in The ESG and Sustainability Deskbook for Business, 2024, pp 213-310 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract We’ve covered the prevailing international law on primary ESG subject matter in prior chapters. In this chapter, we’ll aim to provide the global context on national environmental, and social, governance law and regulation. To do so, we’ll review a selection of the most significant laws that have been in the books since before the term ESG came into use and which form the foundational legal requirements of ESG. We’ll also highlight some of the primary new laws and regulations in sustainability and ESG.
