Chapter Chapter 1 in Reinterpreting Mr. Keynes, 2022, pp 1-5 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter introduces a document in Keynes’s own handwriting recently discovered in the John Maynard Keynes Papers. The document indicates that Keynes himself was the first to set out a complete system of IS-LMIS-LM equations. Student notes from his lectures indicate that he presented his equations in simplified form on December 4, 1933. This chapter puts the document in the context of the previously existing literature and explains why the document necessitates the reinterpreting of Mr Keynes.
