A chapter in Russian and Western Economic Thought, 2022, pp 43-66 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The chapter informs about Dmitriev’s contributions to economic analysis, major Western and Russian intellectual influences on his thinking, the reception of his work in East and West, and the impact of his findings on the further development of economic theory. The attention focuses inter alia on the importance of Dmitriev’s contributions for the elaboration of the classical approach to the theory of value and distribution and on attempts by Russian economists to crossbreed it with marginal utility theory.
