Chapter Chapter 9 in The Truth of Liberal Economy, 2023, pp 75-86 from Springer
Abstract:
ABSTRACT In this chapter looks at Rueff's involvement with the Lippmann Symposium held in Paris in 1938. It examines Rueff’s contribution to the formation of neoliberalism and to the discipline of economics at large. The differences between Rueff's “liberal intervention” and the German “Ordo-Liberalism” of the same period will be described, as well as the internal conflicts among the neoliberals who gathered in the “Mont Pelerin Society” in the 1940s.
