A chapter in Academic and Educational Entrepreneurship, 2022, pp 1-5 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The editors of this book have noticed that the stream of research on corporate entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education is abundant. However, the research on educational entrepreneurship (“edupreneurship”) and academic entrepreneurship (“acapreneurship” or “academicpreneurship”) is relatively scarce and has been largely overlooked in entrepreneurship (e-ship) literature (Cuervo et al., 2007; Low & MacMillan, 2007; Papadopoulos et al., 2017; Wartiovaara et al., 2018). It is also noted that in the literature, there is no conceptual framework that holistically associates theories and concepts with the experiences and insights of educational/education entrepreneurs (“edupreneurs”) and academic entrepreneurs (“acapreneurs” or “academicpreneur”). Thus, this book is aimed to fill the gap in the literature and practice.
