Abstract:
Abstract Already in the first study year when the students start the program “Bachelor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship” (Innovasjon og entreprenørskap, in Norwegian) at Campus Bø, they get acquainted with a specific mode of teaching and learning. Central to the Bø model is that the students are encouraged to learn about themselves and other individuals, while studying the concepts and models in entrepreneurship and innovation management. The entire study program motivates the students to continuously self-reflect on their entrepreneurial aspirations, attitudes, and capabilities. While a major part of these entrepreneurship students will start a career in an established company or organization after having finished the program, part of the students trained in the Bø entrepreneurship education will turn into entrepreneurs. These prospective entrepreneurs will benefit from the Bø model as they will start developing their ideas and business plans early in the study program. To this aim, the curriculum of the program is structured so that the students can work with their own entrepreneurial ideas in every single course, and, in the courses, through the specific topics addressed and the way they are taught.
