Chapter 9 in Sustainable Family Business, 2024, pp 171-190 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Following the opening profile case study, this chapter begins by delving into the distinctive nature of leadership within family businesses, highlighting its uniqueness, complexity, and capacity for ambidexterity. Additionally, it sheds light on the specific challenges associated with achieving ambidexterity in family businesses. Then the chapter explores the triple-bottom-line approach within the context of family business leadership, presenting transgenerational leadership as a fundamental pillar in such businesses. Subsequently, the chapter tackles the implications of family business leadership for future directions, particularly in relation to the triple-bottom-line approach. The chapter concludes with a case study that further elucidates the chapter’s main theme, bringing it to its full circle.
