Chapter 5 in Theoretical Foundations of Investment Banking, 2024, pp 51-56 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Banks often advise clients on suitable products for investment, such as investment into mutual funds or insurance. Using their knowledge of the financial situation of their clients as well as their understanding of the market, they help clients choose the most suitable product for their needs. This advice can extend to specific capital market transactions as recommended by investment banks, such as pursuing a merger or acquisition, issuing securities, or taking significant stakes in other companies.
