Chapter 13 in Entrepreneurial Family Businesses, 2024, pp 237-248 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Lauren Brisbane has made Queensland Camel Company (QCamel) an important player in the Australian camel milk industry. QCamel emphasizes sustainable and ethical farming practices and became the first Australian producer of pasteurized camel milk. Although African and Middle East countries dominate camel milk production, Australian farmers are entering the market to supply milk and different products as they recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Camel milk is also getting attention due to its health benefits and potential uses for treating skin cancer, diabetes, or autism. Recently, Lauren’s daughter, Yasmine, became a Tik-Tok sensation which has helped the company to increase online sales and be more recognized by the Australian market.
