Chapter 12 in Global Supply Chain and Operations Management, 2025, pp 375-398 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Let us look at the following practical case study to better understand the necessity for production and material requirements planning. Suresh Chandra has just received the demand forecast data for next year. He is new to the company and is responsible for operations planning. His previous experiences in different companies provided him with valuable knowledge and tools for aggregate planning, master production scheduling, and material requirements planning. In the new position, his responsibility was to integrate all these activities into the operations planning.
