Chapter 9 in Global Supply Chain and Operations Management, 2025, pp 275-324 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The location of a new factory can provide a competitive advantage and is strategically relevant for every company. For once, location influences cost structures. For example, producing in a low-wage country influences the production price of the product. Politics, exchange rates, and currency swings create risks. Many companies operate in various countries, taking advantage of the advantages in each location.
