Chapter 5 in Economic Analysis Through Mathematics, 2026, pp 143-152 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In the previous chapters we have already used the term vector, by which we meant a n-component row matrix or column matrix, and we also spoke about spaces. At the same time, the interrelationship of vectors in the sense of linear dependence, i.e., independence, was crucial in checking the existence of the solution to a system of linear equations, as well as in determining its solutions. Therefore, for the sake of completeness, in this chapter we consider the concept of vectors and vector spaces, as well as normed spaces.
