Abstract: Abstract Becoming a successful leader—someone who is able to build a long-lasting, high-performing team or organization—is not about what you do, although that is important; it is about how you do what you do; it is about living your deeply held values. This chapter explains what values are, why they are important, and how they are linked to the stages of psychological development. Based on the descriptions given in this chapter, you can find out what stage of psychological development you are at and what level of leadership consciousness you are operating from and how you can improve your performance.
