International Finance and International Macroeconomics: An Overview
Giancarlo Gandolfo
Chapter 1 in International Finance and Open-Economy Macroeconomics, 2016, pp 3-9 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The presence of a specific treatment of the theory of international economic transactions is an old and consolidated tradition in the economic literature, which antedates the appearance of the other various specialistic fields of economics. After explaining the reasons for this as well as for the distinction between international trade theory and international finance, the chapter gives an overview of the contents and structure of the book.
