Abstract:
Abstract Since the sixth edition of the Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual (BPM6), the IMF has replaced the phrase “an economy or a country and the rest of the world” by “residents of an economy and non-residents”, to reflect the changed realities taken place in the last few decades. Transactions represented by flows of goods, services and capital are presented in the form of double-entry bookkeeping.
