Chapter 5 in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, 2020, pp 131-164 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter examines the small business sector and the differences that exist between entrepreneurs and small business owner-managers. The “myth” of small business innovation and the entrepreneurial growth cycle of small firms are also explored along with the need for small firms to establish collaborative support networks. The importance of small business entrepreneurs being able to develop strategic thinking skills is highlighted along with the need for them to learn how to balance strategy, structure and resources.
